Rowan Gate now has two uniform providers for parents to consider.  Parents can use either Tesco and/or School Trends.

School Trends has a shop at 8 Olympic Way, Wellingborough, Northants, NN8 3QE which you can visit. At the shop you can try the uniform on your child and you can order in the shop

British Sign Language

In school many classes use British Sign Language to support spoken word.  From time to time, we offer basic training to parents who are interested in learning some signs and understanding what their child may sign at home.   Watch out for information on our News section.   Parents may find this link to BSL website helpful:

The Castle Theatre, Wellingborough

This local venue has lots on offer, including

Relaxed film screenings with films being shown with sound levels turned down and lights at low levels and film goes able to make noise and sit where they feel comfortable.

Dogs for the Disabled

Provides assistance dogs helping children and adults with physical disabilities and families affected by autism, to pet dog autism workshops and innovative new projects working in schools and residential care settings.

Purple Mash

Purple Mash is the new online creative space that we’ve subscribed to from 2 simple.

  • The site has creative tools, themed activities and games for all ages from nursery through to Year 6, to hopefully allow them to practise and improve their Computing skills, often in a cross-curricular way.
  • The themed activities and projects often have videos, writing prompts, word banks, themed photographs, success criteria for the projects and clipart that link to all aspects of the curriculum.
  • As it is online, everybody has their own online space, with unique log in and password, and is able to access it at home as well as in school.
